  1. ... A really big gift bag
  2. If your friend likes chocolates or something else in a box that is fairly cheap, simply wrap that with the blanket. Tie it with Ribbon tight on and plop a bow on top. Use safety pins if you need to keep the blanket together. I don't know how big the blanket is and if this will work but I got a gift of bath towels this way. The real present was the wrapping. If it is huge you may have to get an empty box at the grocery store and wrap that.
  3. My friend who knits compulsively made me an immense afghan that wouldn't have fit into a box well at all so she put it in a big wicker laundry basket with items for sitting around watching t,v while wrapped up in the afghan. There was a pair of fuzzy slippers, some microwave popcorn, etc. If the blanket you made is for the bed, consider items like slippers and maybe a candle or some nice lotion.
  4. Use a large plastic bag and put it in it and squeeze out allof the air that you can. Go to a grocery or drug store and get a packing box of something he does not like and put the bag in it.
  5. For a man it would be fun to get an old suitcase, decorate it with manly stickers, like racing, sports, car brands, or even tools and tires and so. Put the blanket in a plastic bag if the case is not clean anymore. An other way would be to buy a new container he will use, like one of those big wheeled boxes and use that, but that means that you have to spend even more. Again decorating in a manly style he would like does give it a little extra.
