How to ship a large TV having no box or original packing supplies? I have quite a problem. I need to ship my 42" Samsung DLP TV (45" x 30" x 10") from the Bay Area to Los Angeles (that's about 500 miles). I'm ready to pay the shipping costs (+ insurance), but the TV's box and original packing supplies have disintegrated in the rain! What can I do to get this shipped? Is there some kind of service where someone could fashion the packing supplies to the TV? I heard that this can be done for trade shows / businesses, but I don't know any details. Any suggestions? Is my Power Supply Interferring with my Modem? I have a Dell Laptop and recently whenever I have the power cord hooked up I can not dial up to the internet. It makes a noise on the line and will not connect. If I unhook the power cord my laptop dials right up. We replaced the modem and it still does the same thing. We ordered two power packs and still the same result. It will work fine at my sister's house with the power supply hooked up but not here. We've had this computer for two years and didn't have any trouble with it until our old power supply quit working and we had to order a new one.

Dell laptop monitor flickering when it switches between battery power and mains supply. Why? I just got a new battery for my Dell 9300 laptop because the old one was dead. But I now quite often have the laptop continuously switching between the two power sources - as indicated by the power icon - and this makes the screen flicker. Could this be the new battery? Could the power pack be faulty? Why does it keep switching between the two power sources even when the battery is at least 30% charged?

How much is this plate worth? I have a German Nazi plate that was given to me by my father. He received this from a man who was a Nazi, and served in the German army during World War II. changing the voltage of a power supply. Will this damage my computer?
